Today, Tuesday, April 17, 2023 AD, the Center’s General Director, his deputy, and the directors of its departments and offices met with the members of the fixed assets inventory committee of the institutions of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, headed by Mr. Dr. Ibrahim Al-Nawaji, at the center’s headquarters. The attendees discussed the center’s developments, the most important difficulties facing it, and how to overcome them. The meeting included a field visit to offices and laboratories. The most important steps taken by the center in order to obtain accreditation through the accreditation center were discussed. And also to the services that the center provides to citizens and public and private agencies in chemical analyzes of various kinds. The problems of the center were identified, the most important of which is collecting revenues, problems related to the center’s headquarters, and several different matters, all of which were for the public interest. It is noteworthy that the committee was formed by decision of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research No. 1515 of 2022, and this visit comes to inspect and inventory the buildings and facilities of research centers and universities, to determine their most prominent needs, and to submit a detailed report to His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research in particular. This comes in light of the activity of the Ministry, led by Prof. Dr. Imran Al-Qayeb, and its support for every major and small issue in the research centers.
