In the presence of a good number of people interested in the field of scientific research, there was a lecture entitled (Methods of Evaluating Scientific Research) given by Dr. Bassem Abu Al-Qasim, a faculty member at the University of Benghazi and Director of the Conversion Department at the Solar Energy Research Center... The lecture focused on many important points related to evaluating Research papers and the definition of the impact factor and how to calculate it and its development over the previous years. In this part, the level of scientific research in Libya and how to publish was discussed, as care is not taken to publish in internationally classified journals, even though there are many publications published internally. It may be good for external publishing, and unfortunately everything that is published internally is not counted, in other words, as if it does not exist at all... There was also talk about evaluating the researcher himself by publishing his research, and also evaluating research institutions, including universities..... Indeed, a very valuable lecture. It is of interest to all researchers and faculty members... A lecture that brings happiness to the soul when you find such young people like Dr. Bassem who are trying to develop in this field. Thanks to all the generous attendees from the advanced laboratory staff, the Atomic Energy Corporation, the Welding Research Center, the Biological Research Center, and the Plastics Research Center..
