A delegation from the Libyan Advanced Center for Chemical Analysis visited the Research and Consultation Center of the University of Benghazi and the University’s College of Science! Within the framework of the plan undertaken by the Libyan Center to open the door to cooperation between the Center and a number of Libyan universities... a delegation from the Libyan Advanced Center for Chemical Analysis, led by the Deputy Director of the Center, the Director of Administrative Affairs, the Director of Research Affairs, the Director of the Quality Systems Office, and The Head of the Department of Public Relations and Services and a number of distinguished researchers at the Center visited the University of Benghazi yesterday and today. Summary of the first day: A visit to the Research and Consultation Center: The Center delegation was received by the Director General of the Research Center, Professor Dr. Ahmed Al-Ansari, accompanied by a number of researchers and faculty members affiliated with the Center. The reception was great, reflecting their kind spirit and great cooperation. After that, Professor Dr. Ahmed Al-Ansari gave a valuable lecture during which he introduced the center, its capabilities, and the strategic plan that the center adopted during the year 2023. This was followed by a lecture by the Director of Research Affairs at the Libyan Advanced Center for Chemical Analysis, which covered an introduction to the center and what the center can offer for cooperation in the research aspect. After that, it was the turn of Professor Dr. Fakhri Al-Abbar, Director of the Libyan Society for Chemical Security and Safety, during which he touched on the role of the Society for Chemical Security and Safety in Laboratories and universities, where it was a valuable introductory lecture. Summary of the second day. Visit the College of Science at the University of Benghazi / Today, the Center team visited the Faculty of Science, University of Benghazi, where they were received by the Dean of the Faculty of Science, Professor Dr. Younis bin Amer, the distinguished Dr. Ahmed Nasr Al-Tajouri, Dr. Rashid, Dr. Faten Al-Mujabri, and Dr. Fateh Al-Ghawil.. Professor Dr. Younis Bin Amer welcomed the attendees through a lecture in which he recounted the history of the college and focused specifically on the Chemistry Department and its role in the research field. Then it was Dr. Ahmed Al-Tajouri’s turn to talk about his experience through forming a research group that includes faculty members and bachelor’s and master’s students in cooperation with the University of Capetown in South Africa. The lecture was very interesting and a good impression is given of the success of this experience through the valuable research and its topics that His group is doing it now! From here and through this website, we thank everyone who welcomed us and received us in Benghazi. This is considered the first official step for fruitful cooperation in the coming occasions, God Almighty willing! We greatly thank Dr. Ahmed Al-Tajouri for coordinating this trip, which will continue, God willing, to include the University of Derna, Tobruk, and Al-Bayda in the coming days.
